Lenovo AI Photo booth brand activation in London

What We Did

Primatix built the gesture-controlled AI photo booth at the centre of Lenovo's "Smarter AI for All" out-of-home campaign, a touring London activation that ran through late 2024.

Client: Lenovo (creative events agency: TBA Plc)
Location: London, United Kingdom
Dates: 26 November to 11 December 2024

The challenge

This was a more demanding build than a standard indoor booth. It ran outdoors, in London, in winter; it was controlled entirely by gesture rather than touch; and it produced three different output formats. Getting a reliable, high-quality experience out of that combination was the core of the job.

The solution

Instead of the usual fantasy themes, we created six "everyday heroes" archetypes drawn from real professions, reflecting how AI shows up in everyday work rather than fantastical scenes. The Lenovo Portal gave visitors an immersive, 360-degree experience: using gesture control, they stepped into one of six industries and generated a custom AI image of themselves. Each guest walked away with a printed copy of their image and a Lenovo-branded tote bag.

On tour

The Portal travelled across three London locations, open 7:30am to 7:30pm each day: Canary Wharf (26–27 November), Victoria (4–5 December) and Waterloo (10–11 December).
